Reinhabiting the Divine Feminine –

This special two week women’s ayahuasca retreat offers authentic treatment from a true Shipiba maestra in a safe and tranquil environment.  Participants spend 12 days at the Ayahuasca Foundation’s Healing Retreat Center (plus 2 days in Iquitos), participating in 6 traditional ayahuasca ceremonies led by the Shipibo curandera doña Wilma.  In addition to the ayahuasca ceremonies, participants also receive a variety of plant treatments that cleanse the mind, body, and spirit, and take part in workshops and activities designed to liberate and transform.

Across time and across culture, we find that the ritual pattern of “containment, transformation, and emergence” provide a process of renewal and rebirth for women throughout the life cycle. This two week women’s retreat offers you an opportunity to enter the sacred space of the divine feminine, where you will engage in powerful healing experiences throughout your journey of exploration and self-discovery. We begin our healing journey with plant medicines that support cleansing and deep healing of mind, body, and spirit. Ayahuasca ceremonies are conducted every-other-night, led by Dona Wilma, a gifted Shipiba curendera from a lineage of traditional healers. We will also integrate practices from other wisdom traditions to offer you the ways and means to do deep transformational work: meditation, Qi Gong, shamanic journeying, yoga, women’s circles, and counseling are all part of our regularly-scheduled activities.

In keeping with the spirit of the divine feminine, we will offer expressive arts activities throughout the retreat to ignite our creativity and express our inate capacities for rebirthing ourselves and dreaming the world into being. We will explore our intentions, visions, and our personal healing process through body mapping, finger labyrinths, mask-making, soul collage, creative movement, and other artistic play.

We will dedicate time and attention to re-integration and emergence as you ready yourself to return to life, renewed and inspired, perhaps prepared to live a response to the great Sufi question: “What universe is waiting to be born in your heart?”

This ayahuasca retreat is a women’s only event. Women will be leading the ceremonies, facilitating the activities and treatments, taking care of the camp, everything. We strive to provide an atmosphere of safety and security so that our deepest fears can be brought to the surface, processed, and healed. The assisting healers have years of experience, and the indigenous curandera has decades of experience. The participants of this ayahuasca retreat will be in good hands throughout the experience, with complete attention given to every need.
